Site Rules

Picture policy

Nudes are allowed, but only those considered safe for a public art gallery. They must not be sexual or designed to arouse or titillate, they must not show graphic depiction of any sexual act or genitalia. Moderators judgement is final in these matters, and if we feel the picture lowers the tone of the site, it gets removed.
No overtly political, nationalist, racist, religious or partisan imagery that shows an obvious bias toward or against one ideology, group, country or movement.
No images depicting torture, rape or any other illegal activities.
No images that would be considered inflammatory or derogatory toward one social group, ideology or movement.
No derivative artwork, using stock images or copyright material, the work must be your own. Work based on another piece of art work, must be significantly different from the original so that no suggestion of copyright theft.
Artwork that does not meet a high enough standard will be removed. (moderators judgements are final)
Any advert that is not for a real original painting will be removed.

Multiple posting of the same item is not allowed and will have your account banned.
You must not use swear words, or language that is overtly political, nationalist, racist, religious or partisan. You may not show an obvious bias toward or against one ideology, group, country or movement.

Descriptions should only be used to talk about the artwork for sale, and nothing else.
Over use of key words will have your listing removed.
The title of your work should contain only the title and small description. Very Long titles may be edited.
Gibberish and nonsense listings will be removed.
Reproduction paintings are prohibited. Unless they are made by the original artist.

Artist are solely responsible for dealing with any customers who contact them, and any sales that may arise from such communications. Payments, postage and all other matters should be dealt with between the customer and the artist. www.artistpaintings.co.uk takes no responsibility for sales generated via the site.

We cannot cover all eventualities here, so we retain the right to remove any listing or member for any reason at the discretion of artistpaintings.co.uk.

Some listing maybe selected by the site admin to be "first" promoted above other listings.
Fees paid to artistpaintings.co.uk for "first" promoted listings submit your listing to moderators for selection. If your listing breaks any rules or moderators feel it should not be promoted fees do not guarantee a listing. (but usually we list all paintings that pay for this service ahead of non paid listings)
buying a first promoted listing helps toward the cost to run the site.

Fees maybe charged for submissions for listing to some busy sections of the site, but they do not guarantee a listing. Fee are charged only to have a moderator assess your listing for submission.
